As a Backend Engineer at 9GAG you will help to deliver the best-in-class products that transform how millions of people discover and collect inspiration everyday. You will need to support the development of our products. You will work side-by-side with product managers, designers, in-house developers and appreciate the details that make a user experience memorable, and demonstrate enthusiasm for new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, in-house developers to build highly scalable and available digital products.

  • Design robust high-level systems architecture and code structure to allow fast iterations and rapid growth.

  • Provide technical advice on project specifications, documentation, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and measure of success.

  • Hands-on development of new product features according to business requirements.

  • Improve backend performance, carry out experiments and tests to help the team make data-informed decisions.

  • Enthusiastic with new technologies and look for constant improvement of both technical performance and user experience.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Expertise in NodeJS and Typescript.

  • Knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, Message Queue, Caching and Edge Computing (Vercel / Cloudflare Workers).

  • Knowledge of MVC/MVVM and API design.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Proficient to use AI tools to improve quality of works.
